Helpful Hints for Using Personal & Team Fundraising Pages  

Please notice that you have both a personal and a team fundraising page. It is important that you pay close attention to which page you are using when sharing the link with your family and friends. 

We HIGHLY recommend using and sharing only your team page to avoid confusion. 

We have found that most Team Captains use only their team pages for fundraising and team building. Your friends and family will only be able to register to run with your team through your team page 

Wondering how to access your team page?  

Visit www.gigisplayhouse.org and select your playhouse location. From there, click on the events tab and choose the peer-to-peer event you are fundraising for and click Register.  

To update your page, log into your OneCause account, and access your team fundraising page from the drop down by clicking Manage my page.  

Edit your team page!  

Profile picture: Upload a picture of your team to let donors know who they are supporting. Team photos ideally should be landscape in orientation rather than portrait for best presentation on your page.  

Fundraising goal: Remember, this number can always be adjusted at a later date if you find that you have overestimated, or hopefully underestimated, your team’s potential! 

Tell Your Story! 

Personal Message: Let your audience know what your team is all about and writing your own story message about why GiGi's is important to you! This personal message will appear right below your team name on the team page.  

"So many focus on what children with special needs don't have or can't do, instead of what they are capable of or what they can do. Your fundraising is changing lives!" 

The above quote was found on one of our team pages, and it puts perfectly into words the way we feel about all of you! YOU are changing lives! Thank you for your diligence in spreading the word, building your teams, and BELIEVING! 

Share your team page!  

Under the Grow Your Team Tab, simply click on one of the icons to share your page to Facebook, Twitter, or to get a link to share via another source such as email or text!  

Email your Teammates!  

Select all or specific team members to send a mass email.  

Team fundraising success story: We had a team with VERY few donations and registrations. On Tuesday they sent out a really well-crafted email to their friends & family. Less than 48 hours later, they had moved into the Top 10! If you aren't in the Top 10 now, you could be just ONE email away from being there! I thought you might like to steal...or maybe "borrow" (they gave us permission) ...some of this team's email copy: "Yes, It is that time again - actually that "time" was about a month and a half ago, but I am FINALLY getting this completed and sent out. The Polar Vortex has triggered my procrastination complex. OK - not really, just really, really busy for some reason... :) BUT, nonetheless, I need all of your help this year as Team Maxton strives for greatness and a spot in the top 10 again. It will not be easy! We are working against the clock - the 5K is only a month away and we are looking for some great representation on the course (and the donor board!! :) ) We have moved the course - to Sears Center -and it will be an awesome venue. We do understand that this is a great commitment to make the event and truly are blessed by the support our son received every year!! We hope to see as many of you as possible again this year! As our Team grows, as we raise more and more money, we continue to break down the barriers and stereotypes our kids will endure over their lifetime. A LOT has happened with Gigi's over the last 4 years. So many of you have been a part of the growth that is literally taking the nation by storm. You are helping us change a culture and create an environment that allows us, as parents, to truly believe there is hope. I have been privileged to be a part of this organization and meet so many of the incredible people who make this progress possible. The passion my other board members have, the never ending hours the volunteers and tutors put in, and the dedication of an incredible staff has made it possible to Educate, Inspire and Achieve is truly a blessing to the entire DS community. We have 6 more Playhouses opening this year across the US and over 100 inquiries as well. The progress is incredible, but the message is too - we are desperately needed! We cannot do this without you! You guys are truly heroes to so many. You have helped us provide FREE educational programming to those who need it.
